Mr. Shabir M Sultan

Mr. Shabir M Sultan is the Chairman of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises Group. He initially joined Mustafa Sultan Office Technology Co. LLC. and Mustafa Sultan Lighting Division Unit as a Director in 1988. In this role, he lead the strategy, annual business plans and its finalization with the General Managers for the Board meets, in order to ensure MSE’s culture and talent align with the company’s core values, focused on our customers and employees to accelerate delivery of our business objectives.

Mr. Shabir epitomized the determined entrepreneurial spirit of a visionary, by Addition of new business lines to complement and supplement the existing portfolio. Maintaining good relations with the Principals & key people in all the Ministries as they form a huge Customer base and development of infrastructure and improving geographical presence of the group.

His contributions to development of the MSE group are well recognized and He has been honored with many other prestigious awards and titles have been conferred on him by our business partners – Fujitsu, Kyocera, Samsung, G&D, and Ideal.

Mustafa began his entrepreneurial life repairing radios in a nondescript workshop that he had founded as a youngster. Born in Muscat in 1937, Mustafa left to Pakistan at the age of 13 to pursue education in a boarding school. Two years later, his father Abdulredha Sultan transferred him to Saint Jospeh High School in Mumbai, where he studied for the next six years.

During his stay in Mumbai, one fine morning as Mustafa strolled towards a neighborhood, he ran into a home-based makeshift workshop dealing with repairs of radio and other electronic items. He walked into the workshop to get a flavor of the atmosphere first-hand and was struck by ingenuity and commitment of the shop owner. ‘It was an incredible experience. I was fascinated by the skills and dedication of the main to his work”, said Mustafa. This caught the imagination of the teenaged Mustafa, who desired to learn the skills.

In 1957, the guardian with whom Mustafa was staying with expired and his father had asked him to return to Muscat and join the family business, namely W J Towell. Mustafa became in charge of the shop dealing with auto spare parts and tools. But he continued to look for an opportunity to have his own business.

Mustafa began his real entrepreneurial life at the age of 22 when he opened a small electronics repairs workshop in 1959 above the auto spare parts shop. The skills he acquired in Mumbai proved to be a green boon and improved his skills in repairing all types of electronic items at the workshop. In 1967 when his father expired, Mustafa joined the building material division in W J Towell, with his uncle Haji Ali Sultan.

Oman witnessed new business opportunities in the 1970’s. This prompted Mustafa to request Haji Ali Sultan to allow him to have a separate business. Mustafa co-founded a company together with his late brother, Jawad Sultan and a company called Mustafa and Jawad Trading co came in 1972. For 25 years, the two brothers did a flourishing business. In 1997, they decided to have separate companies, leading to the birth of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises and Jawad Sultan Enterprises.

Mustafa died on 13th October 2018 at the age of 81 after a long journey of struggle with his illness.

Mr. Akber Mustafa Abdulredha Sultan

Akber Mustafa Abdulredha Sultan is the Vice Chairman of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises LLC since February 2012. He is graduate in BSC in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento (2008) and also completed his Masters in Diplomacy from Norwich University – USA in 2008.

He began his career in Mustafa & Jawad Trading Company as a Distribution Manager in one of its subsidiary – Capital Stores in June 1987.

He became the Director of Mustafa Jawad Trading Company in the Corporate Office in 1990. In the year 1999 became the Managing Director of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises Co. LLC.

His roles are:

- Monitoring and implementation of the company’s strategies
- Assists the Board in setting priorities and action plans
- Evaluates the organizations results in achieving its goals and mission
- Monitors financial reports and works with the Board members to remain compliant
- Facilitates strategic planning with the Board of Directors
- Identifying development needs for expansion, replacement, enhancement or new business ventures for the group. Working out detailed plans and budget proposals along with the cost estimates
- Evaluating tenders for the technical and commercial suitability including quality plans with the help of the General Manager’s assigned for the particular business unit

Mr. Abdulredha Sultan is the Managing director of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises since 1993. He has over 26 years of experience as Board member in several companies in Oman and abroad.

He is an astute businessman with an impeccable reputation within the business community in the Sultanate of Oman.

Mrs. Noorjehan Mustafa A. Sultan

Noorjehan Mustafa A. Sultan is the Director of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises LLC since 1995. She is also the Chairperson of the Internal Audit Committee of the group since 2013.

She completed her basic education in Oman and graduated from the Technical Commercial College with a Higher Diploma in Business Administration. Thereafter, she went on to pursue her higher studies and obtained her MBA in Marketing from the University of Hull, UK.

She began her professional career as a Credit Officer at the erstwhile Bank of Oman, Bahrain & Kuwait (BOBK) in the year 1987 where she worked for a period of 7 years; after which she joined the Mustafa Sultan Enterprises group in 1995

She began her career in Receivables Management in the Electronics Business Unit of the company and also extended her services at the other subsidiaries of the MSE group.

In 2001, she was elevated to the position of Business Unit Head of the Pay TV Business Unit where her role was to provide effective leadership to the Pay TV Business operations and be able to achieve a profitable growth.

She was appointed as Director in 2005 to take on the responsibility of monitoring the commercial functions of the entire MSE group.

In addition to this role, she is also a member of the Board of Directors of the MSE group and is involved in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of all major policies, strategies and business plans of the group.

Mrs. Najla M. Sultan

Najla M. Sultan is currently the Director – Administration at Mustafa Sultan Enterprises. She has joined MSE on October 2009.

She is currently looking after Administration, Human Resource, Head Office and acting as support function for group companies.

She has completed her Administrative degree in 1998 and joined Mustafa Sultan Enterprises as Administration Director.

She has contributed immensely with her knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning and organization development.
